Thailand extends action after blocking 883,012 URLs

Thailand has intensified its fight against the online black market after the Ministry blocked 883,012 URLs in less than a year. The blocking covered the period between October 2025 and July 2026 and was presented as part of continuing action against illicit online activity.

Of the total URLs blocked, over 600,000 were related to illegal online gambling, according to iGaming Expert. The figure underlines the scale of the operation and the specific focus on unlicensed betting and gaming sites within the wider crackdown.

Authorities are now set to be granted new powers to accelerate the blocking of illegal websites, an intensification of measures already under way. The move signals continued pressure on operators outside the regulated market in Thailand.
